My daughter sent me this self explanatory photo of a plaque while visiting Inverness in Scotland. I know that Scots in America during the California gold rush, had a highland games on the beach near where the Golden Gate Bridge was later built.
If you attend Highland Games in the Pacific Northwest look for my vendor tent. The Lamont tartan and products I sell are advertised on the tent. I will have frozen pre cooked haggis and Scottish oatmeal there for sale.
Yours truly again! Same Highland games sponsored by the Douglas County Scottish Society now moved to Winston. Here I am again with a microphone in hand trying to convince would be participants that they needed to enter the haggis eating contest.
